Sound & Movement Grief Integration Lab
In this time of human history, we are uniquely posited to both deeply feel grief and trauma and simultaneously integrate and process the wounding.
Our personal story is part of a larger collective of grief as the earth and her inhabitants endure climate change, environmental degradation, economic inequality, discrimination, and violations of fundamental human rights.
Painful and harmful experiences personally and of the collective, from past to present, leave energetic scars that often dictate negative behaviors, thinking patterns or feeling stuck in our life.
This can make it difficult to move into a new part of our life story as we resonate with the echos of these experiences. Integration and letting go of these pains is essential for our mental, physical and spiritual journey. In letting go we retain the wisdom and release the energy and pull of the trauma.
Once we identify the story, where it resides and what it needs, we can allow for the body to provide its knowing. Together we release the pain and return back to connection, regulation and safety.
What makes this a lab?
This group is a 90 minute container created and held by its participants and Elizabeth Truskoski, LMHC. The structure contains group meditation, embodiment and regulation activities, movement and song and is a space for the sharing of its participants. It is not group therapy, processing via spoken word is not a focus. The intention is a movement sound ritual experience created and held by responsible participants.
A self serve herbal calming corner will be available at all times and be used by discretion. Come and just hang there.
